Christmas Cactus ~

My daughter gave me this beautiful Christmas cactus last year. It was in full bloom. I’ve managed to keep it alive (no green thumb here) all year. So I’ve been anxiously waiting for it to bloom.

Christmas came and went. No flowers.

Then a couple of weeks ago I noticed a bloom and lo and behold, I have one flower. One! That’s it!

In addition to being a late bloomer, it’s also pretty stingy with its flowers. At first I watered it every week or so but I quickly discovered that was too much. So I cut it back to every 3 or 4 weeks. And although the plant itself looks very nice and healthy, I’m sad that I don’t have more flowers.

It’s very pretty and and I love it. However, if you have any tips on making it bloom, please leave a comment.

Have a great weekend and see you here next time……..

  1. Hi Terri!! Love the beautiful color on the flower!! I wish I could send you a picture of mine. I have had it for about 10 years and its just so beautiful. It grew from a baby to a HUGE plant! May you have many years of enjoyment with yours! <3 Love , Annette
