My first great-grandchild is now due in just a short seven weeks! It seems like yesterday that my grandson and his wife in England did a Zoom gender reveal for the family! And pink confetti fell from the cannon telling us it’s a girl!
The due date is March 21st and Great-Nana has been busy knitting away. I made three sweaters and hats which were mailed off to England and both Julien and Roisin love them.

It was so much fun knitting for the coming new member of our family. Another generation!
Mum-to-be is doing well and both she and Julien are quite excited to become first time parents. No definite name has been chosen yet so I’m patiently waiting to hear what she will be called.
I’m also working on a blanket for her and a knitted dress. I remember when my mom used to knit for my children and I’m ever so glad that she passed on her love of knitting to me. I feel handmade items become treasures over the years and are extra special.
If you’re knitter, leave a comment and let me know what you’re working on. In addition to baby items, I’m also knitting socks. One of my favorite things to work on. There’s nothing that fits better and is as pretty as knitted socks.
See you here next time………………….
