Burr! ~

I think it’s pretty safe to say that winter has arrived! Yes. Even here in Florida.

It looks like the north and much of the south will be hit with snow and unusually cold temperatures this coming week.

We’re expected to be in the 30’s in the morning here in Ormond Beach and I’m not sure we’ll go above 50 during the day. But no white stuff predicted for us. However, in the Panhandle they are expected to get possible snow and/or freezing rain.

Even as a child I wasn’t fond of winter. I’ve always thought perhaps it’s because I was born one day before spring arrives. Then again, maybe I just detest the cold.

But I recall my poor mom getting me all bundled up to go out and play with the kids……leggings, heavy coat, boots, scarf, hat and mittens. I wasn’t out there ten minutes when I was on my way back inside to some warmth. It seemed much nicer to curl up with a book or play alone with my dolls.

So if you’re in an area of extreme cold and snow, please stay warm and stay safe.

It’s going to be an interesting week…………..in more ways than one.
